In just a few short weeks, Connie and I will be saying our goodbyes to family and friends here in the US and returning to the Middle East to continue the work God has called us to do there. Our short furlough has given us time to rest and enjoy being with those we love so dearly. While the goodbyes will be emotional and difficult, we believe they are necessary and worth it for the sake of those who still have little or no access to the Good News of Jesus. We believe, like so many other Christ-followers, that this lack of access to the gospel is the greatest injustice in our world today. And while this is the primary reason for living and working in the Middle East and surrounding regions, it is Christ’s love that compels us to go and share with them.
If you are unaware of the number of unreached people remaining in the world today, it may shock you. Missions organizations estimate that number to be close to 3.5 billion men, women, and children. For a better understanding of this reality, watch the short video by clicking here.
Missions organizations not only inform us on where most unreached people live, they also tell us that the vast majority of prayer, giving, and laborers are not going to these places. Instead, most Christian resources (including missionaries) are going to places that are already considered reached. In fact, only a small fraction goes to the least reached red zones where the gospel is still unknown or unwelcomed. The harsh reality remains that the gospel that began going out to the farthest corners of the earth almost 2,000 years ago at Pentecost (Acts 2) has still yet to reach over a third of the world’s population (https://athirdofus.com).
Jesus said the Father is looking for people who will worship Him “in spirit and truth” (John 4:24). Here at M3 Global we believe He is looking in these hard to reach places. But more disciples and churches are needed in order to bring Jesus’ love, power, and salvation to families and communities in these places. Unreached people need our time, prayers, and financial resources to help them discover Christ and what He offers them.
Your partnership with M3 Global makes a difference! God’s overwhelming desire has not changed–to bless all the families of the earth just as He promised Abraham 4,000 years ago (Genesis 12:1-3). Jesus promises that one day people from every tribe, language and nation will worship before His throne (Revelation 7:9). Your support of M3 helps us move closer to the fulfillment of God’s promises and intentions for His church and the world.
